Naked DSL comes into your home the same way broadband does, so there is no need for new connections or hardware. You even plug your modem into the same phone socket on the wall.

Why do I want Naked DSL?
Previously to get high-speed ADSL broadband at home you needed to pay a phone company for line rental, even if you hardly used your home phone. Now, with Naked DSL, you can save money by removing the need for a landline phone to get broadband.
As well as saving on your line rental, you can save money on calls with Naked DSL. Your home telephone number becomes a broadband phone service called iiTalk that includes all your local and national calls (fair use policy applies). iiTalk can be called by anyone in the usual way - you just plug your regular phone into your modem instead of the wall.

Is Naked DSL right for me?
If you love the internet, but aren’t close to your phone company, then Naked DSL is perfect for you. If you rely on your landline phone for services such as a monitored alarm, combined phone and fax machine, EFTPOS or Pay TV – then Naked might not be what you’re looking for. Services such as these that use your regular phone line to communicate won’t work on Naked DSL.
Naked DSL is about removing the parts of your internet you don’t need, so if you have services important to you that use your phone line, then you may be better with one of our broadband2+ with phone plans.
