Information for Current iiNet Customers

Good news. Naked DSL is available to current iiNet customers, providing that you meet the eligibility criteria.

As Naked DSL is new for us (and for Australia) the upgrading process is not quite as smooth as we'd like it to be yet. Before you upgrade, there are a few things you should be aware of:

  1. Current existing iiNet customers can upgrade to Naked DSL via iiNet's online signup or by calling us on 1300 796 493. At present, there is a 10-15 day transfer process for Naked DSL, meaning you will be without your broadband connection for that period. However, you will have access to your backup dialup account during this time.
  2. If you are currently under contract with iiNet, selecting "no contract" for Naked DSL will transfer the remainder of your contract over to your Naked DSL service. You won't be charged any break fees on the account you are upgrading. The connection cost for no contract is $150.
  3. If you are currently under contract with iiNet and select "24 month contract" we will cap your total contract period on Naked DSL at 24 months with no break fees on the upgrading account. A 24 month contract comes with $0 connection for a limited time.
  4. You shouldn't need to make any changes to your broadband modem settings when upgrading to Naked DSL, although you will need to update your VOIP number and password if you brought your phone number across as your iiTalk number. These will be emailed to you during the activation process.
